Our Story

Time Being Farm is a three-generation family farm located south of Corvallis, Oregon. We provide plant starts, produce and run a small CSA program, which you can find information about here. We also offer pork shares several times each year.

Our CSA focuses on providing the highest quality organic produce, delivered to your home or office each week. It’s our great joy to provide fresh, local fruits and vegetables to our community.

We chose the name Time Being Farm after reading the book by Ruth Ozeki titled ‘A Tale For The Time Being’. In it, she eloquently describes the way time can shimmer and fray the edges of life – how one day can seem to last forever and one year can be no time at all. Time is similar in relation to farming – in order to care for the land, you must live moment to moment with your plants and animals, as well as learning from the past and looking ahead to the future.

Our parent farm is Crossroads Farm, which specializes in chili peppers and products such as roasted pepper powders, fermented hot sauces, and roasted chilies. They’ve been in business for 30+ years and have always used organic practices. We are working on becoming certified organic.

Also part of the family of businesses is the farm’s brewery, Agrarian Ales.
